Weird Al Karaoke is a comedy show where comedians perform original parodies of popular songs over karaoke tracks. The show was created in 2014 at the Festival of New Formats at Comedy Bar in Toronto in 2014, by Glenn Macauley. It has had shows in Vancouver, Atlanta, and Edmonton. It has been featured in festivals at Just for Laughs (Toronto) and Improvaganza (Edmonton) and the Edmonton Fringe Festival.
Weird Al Karaoke Edmonton has been performing semi-consistently since 2015 and has amassed over 500+ original parodies from dozens of performers.
And folks, we can not stress enough that this is not a show where people sing karaoke to Weird Al songs. That’s arguably a better show, but it’s not our show. We only know how to do this one thing!
